What is NMC or MCI?
The National Medical Commission (NMC) (erstwhile Medical Council of India/MCI) is the authority responsible for conducting and overseeing major screening tests.
- NMC Screening Test is conducted by the National Board of Examinations (NBE) twice a year.
- The Medium of Guidance of the exam is English.
- The exam includes 300 MCQs divided into 2 sections.
- No negative marking.
- Candidates need to score at least 50% marks in MBBS for the examination.
- No limit on the number of attempts for the NMC or MCI Screening Test.
What is NEXT Exam?
The National Exit Test is now the licentiate exam as well as the national medical postgraduate exam that is mandatory for the students/MBBS aspirants to pass in order to get a “Dr” tag with their name.
The National Exit Test will be mandatory for students who graduated from MCI/NMC approved medical colleges abroad also. They have to pass the NEXT exam to get register for medical practice in India.
Based on the score of the NEXT medical exam, PG admission in medical colleges of India will be invited and decided. The NEET-PG exam is also set to be replaced by National Exit Test as it is designed to test the skills and knowledge of final-year medical students.
What is NEET Exam?
The National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET 2022) is the pan-Indian exam conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for admission into different undergraduate programs in NMC approved medical colleges in India and abroad.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) was established by the Ministry of Human Resource Development in the Government of India. The main aim of NTA is to conduct an efficient test to assess candidates for admission as well as oversee the smooth and fair conduction of said tests. Apart from that, the NTA is also responsible for initiating quality research on the educational, professional, and testing system of the candidate to identify gaps in the knowledge systems.
Who is eligible to study MBBS in medical colleges of Abroad?
Any Indian citizen who has attained the age of 17 years and has passed 10+2 Level from any recognized Council/Board of India or abroad. She/he must have studied Physics, Chemistry and Biology as elective subjects and obtained minimum 50% in aggregate of PCB combined. Also must have studies and passed English as a compulsory subject.

Can I practice in India on my return?
Yes, you can practice in India. In order to practice as a medical practitioner you have to register yourself with the State or Indian Medical Council. For this you have to appear for a screening test. On clearing the screening test you are eligible for registration as a doctor and allowed to practice on par with all other doctors.
Can I get a bank loan & to what extent?
As per RBI regulation an Indian student pursuing education abroad can obtain Bank Loan unto 15 Lacks INR. Since the cost of the entire program is well within this amount the entire program can be funded from Bank Loan

Yes. You can do your internship/training in India. However, you would have to arrange it yourself. The University can arrange internship for you in study country only. Most students do their internship at the various affiliated hospitals of the University.
